Better Than Sober
Have you been convinced that you have a life-long disease? Or that you’re an immoral, weak-willed, defective “addict”? And selfishness, genes, or insanity makes you that way?
I felt that way for a long time, but I don’t anymore.
Perhaps the time has come for a fresh view and understanding of yourself too. An understanding that’s based in science.
The cause for my addiction was there long before a drop of alcohol ever touched my lips. And it had more to do with physiology than defects in my personality.
Maybe it’s time you discovered the real reason you drink too.
I’ve found that getting to the bottom of why I needed to drink, was my best bet for becoming Better than Sober. Follow me, and I’ll show you what that looks like.

The Journey
My Journey
I liken my journey with alcoholism to a hike in the woods. And I was on the wrong trail for a long time. But not anymore.
When the path isn’t marked accurately, people lose their way. And that’s what happened to me.
In the woods, courteous hikers leave cairns – piles of rocks guiding those who follow.
That’s what I’m doing for you here. So, put on your hiking boots and let me be your trail guide, through words.
My 20-year journey took me wandering through dark wilderness alone, winding over slippery rocks, and teetering on the edge of dangerous cliffs.
But after years of struggle and discovery, I’ve learned what alcoholism really is, how to change it for good, and how to explain it.
